PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To compound and dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals for patient care and to review prescriptions issued by the physician to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed for the Pharmacy of a Medical Center dedicated to the care of infants, children and adolescents. To answer questions and provide information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals. |

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Capable of relating to diverse age and demographic backgrounds. Demonstrate diplomacy, tact and a professional demeanor. Possess organization, analysis, supervision and prioritization abilities. Knowledge of Medical and Scientific Terminology. Professional knowledge, mathematical ability and manual dexterity sufficient to prepare and dispense pharmaceuticals for infants, children and adolescents patients and adult customers.
EDUCATIONWORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy, Registered Pharmacist and current state licensure required . Previous related experience preferred. |
