Provides medical care and treatment to obstetrical patients in the PET unit under the supervision of an Obstetrician
Responsible for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nurse midwifery care delivered to patients who present to the PET unit Performs physical exams, collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and interprets laboratory studies
Prescribes appropriate interventions and medications.
Utilizes nurse midwifery protocols and nursing care practice for obstetrical and gynecological patients.
Discusses cases with Obstetrician Provides education to patients

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Certified Nurse Midwife licensed in the state of New Jersey
ACNM Certification
NJ Prescriptive privileges
Recent hospital RN experience preferred |
